Aloha all, I recently bought a 1913 MPL from Heritage and it was in a older ANACS slab as 63 BN. I was wondering if it would grade the same or get a 62. If it gets a 62, I lost alot of money. I still think it'll grade PF-63.. I'm sending it to NGC Mahalo
I don't know enough about grading to be able to say. However, many of the threads I have read seem to believe that ANACS may be a "tougher" grading company than the others. I have read that dealers would rather use PCGS than ANACS because they can get higher grades and better prices. I cannot say one way or the other, but it seems to be the belief of some people anyway.
I am talking about what grade does everyone think NGC will grade this Matte Proof. I'm not discussing PCGS or anything else. What do you guys think NGC will grade this Matte Proof? ANACS graded it PF-63.
in the holder - 63 out of the holder maybe 64 would like to see better images though need more detail. is there any luster at all? I am no expert at all... however the 64BN's I have, exhibit some luster, whereas some 63BN's I have, do not. spots on the reverse will drag it down. nice purchase regardless
When held up in the light, there's some very faint luster, VERY faint. It was in an old ANACS small white holder. I won it off of Heritage for $575.
Its pretty nice in hand, spots don't snow up as bad as they do in the picture. The obverse is atleast a 64, but as you said, the spots on the reverse is what kills it. Without them, it would be a solid 64.
I think you answered your question in the last post. I don't see how they could give it a 62... It might be worth a shot at the 64. Tough call, and it's a lot of money.
