I think it is a worn S Peace dollar.

 

OP may be asking about the little "g" stamp on reverse below ONE.
But .. I can't get into OPs mind to confirm.
and I'm not a Peace Dollar expert.

 

It looks like an S with some type of damage or fill at the top.

First, welcome to the neighborhood!

I don't want you to think that I am being a wise guy, but in the future, it would make it easier for others if you would just try to describe what you think you are seeing rather than making it a guessing game for us. Yes, there is a mintmark below "ONE" but there is also the fact that the strike appears to be slightly off-center. Is it off-center or is it a misaligned die strike? To be sure, we would need to see an image of the obverse.

That's why your input, whether right or wrong, will help us.

I agree. Im a dummy. Half of the coins pictured, i have no idea what I'm looking at. You have to realize. Some of us are dummer then a stump. Cheech

 

No doubt about it, the coin is worn and the "S" just looks a little tired to me..LOL

 

LordM is correct... plus, most of us have had the same questions when we began in coins... and we made LOTS of mistakes....
