What do you do with "the pile"?

The pile- Defined as an accumulation of coins that you don't collect and you generally don't worry about them. These coins come from friends and relatives who thought you would enjoy them. Random foreign coins found in change and whatever else you keep cause its just a coin. Coins you don't collect, you just have them....
I was talking to a collector about this and he said after a few years of the pile, he buries the whole lot and attaches a treasure map of sorts to his will.
Does anyone do anything different with these coins besides sell or donate?

I have them mostly sorted into foreign, junk US, silver, and keepers - be it ancient, US, or foreign. Still have piles sitting around my coin desk. I don't know if I will ever get through it all...
