I'm sure at one time or another lots of us have opened uncirculated coin sets for many reasons. My question is what
do you do with the cent size P & D tablets that help identify the coins on the plastic sheets? I don't even know what to call them.
They weigh 2.5 grams so I assume they are 95% zinc and 5% copper.

I have a bunch of them, I like the proof ones and the P and D tokens, but the plastic tablets just bug me. I leave them in their mint packaging and have all of mine stuffed in a little box.

They're actually copper plated zinc, they strike them on cent planchets.

That's what I thought too Phdunay. Do you think they'd fool a coin machine when returning cents? I don't think I'd take a
chance. For the several I have I think I'll keep. But what are they called?

I call them "mint set tokens"

I would bet the coinstar machines would accept them.

I'm not saying you should do it, just that they would probably take them. (Right weight, right composition)

You'd need a ton o' them to make it pay on the Coin Star machine.......:)

Yes if you were doing just the P and D medalets. But it would be a way to get rid of extras you just have laying around. Throw them in with a bunch of other change and put it on an Amazon gift card.

"Medalets" that fits the ticket. Thanks Conder.

I find running auctions that total less than $3.50 are not worth the time, fees, and postage. Been there done that.
