I am currently putting together an album and have bought some here and there. I have paid $1.00 a pc for common late 1800's and the 1900's, up to 2.95 for fine common ones. What do you usually pay for indians?, except key dates.

i have a local shop that usually sells commons for 50 cents a piece but they're exactly g4, nothing more nothing less so a buck doesnt sound crazy. just wait til u get to the keys. i was lucky enough to be given an 1877 my father found while redoing a driveway at a jobsite.

There some dates that demand little more money than others. But they do not trade for that much. Great idea to complete a set of affordable heavily circulated IH. I would think your local coin shop would have the best chance to purchase lots & affordably.

I forgot where, but I have heard that G4 is a rare grade to achieve without having any damage on the coin. It seems kind of stupid.

The store I go to charges 1 dollar each. They're usually in the range of G to VF.

You could find them in most dealers junk box for $1. I wouldn't pay much more.

I am guessing they'll pay up to $1 each. You can find some better examples of certain coin at your local B&M store. For instance, I found this for $0.75
