    PMD = post-mint damage

    Someone counterstamped a 'G' into your coin. Why? I don't know. I was not there.

    It is counter stamped and considered PMD. I have found Kennedy with additional dates stamped in them and put them back into circulation. Counter stamped coins can be found in the Lincoln cents also.

    I am going to assume by the lack of "excitement" and that Hobo wasn't there, it has no extra value!

    You assume correctly. (And I have an alibi if I need one.)
