    Looks like it is missing the upraised rim..
    I say damage and altered.

    What does the other side look like?

    It Looks like a blank of some sort.
    What is the Diameter and Weight ? Does it stick to a magnet?
    Can you get photo of the edge?

    probably a slug. blank piece of metal that was punched out in some sort of factory.

    Doesn't look like a US blank, but
    we need the weight of it, in grams or
    grains.....and an edge photo would be nice.

    In my opinion, it's a slug.

    It's not a type 1 Silver US Mint Quarter,
    I'm certain

    Looks like slug to me. Photos of both sides and I suggest the magnet test, plus weighing it.

    Too heavy. The weight is closer to a silver quarter, but Fred says it's not that.
    It's a slug.
