Flying Eagle cents. Blows other pennies out of the water. And any other quarter design besides the Washington.
None. Not a single coin. What I WOULD like to see would be coins, even if commemoratives, of the same artistic caliber of an Oregon Trail, St Gaudens, Walking Liberty, or a buffalo nickel without having to be cheap and steal old designs. Btw, even if they brought them back they would not be the same today. Could you imagine how fugly the old designs would look laser etch, ultra low relief?
I agree with medoraman. Bringing back the older designs might take away from their value. I would like to see a new version of a Benjamin Franklin Half. I believe with him standing up speaking during the continental congressional meetings would be appropriate. He was a gentleman that lived the American Dream. Without him we would have never won the Revolutionary War. A re-design on the half would be nice.
I would love to see seated halves. I don;t think it would take away form their value. I think it may even inspire collecting when people admire the new coin all of collectors can say thats how they were made in the 1800's. 90% of the population wouldn;t even know
I half agree with medoraman and JCB, but if Mercury Dimes, V Nickels, Wheat Cents and Walking Liberty Halves came back just for me, I'd be ok with that lol
I agree. Been there. Done that. Let's move on. Let's expand our horizons instead of living in the past.
Now if inflation would recede and we could have real relief and real composition, then maybe a flying eagle, just because the series was not dragged out. That is something I do not see happening(but I hope it will) soon, maybe at all. If it did though, we could have some real art on them coins.
Not a coin, but as you all know, I'd like to see the $500 bill and possibly the $1,000 bill re-introduced.
