What clashes above the arrowheads on a Morgan?

It's tough to image, but there's *something* there which isn't post-mint damage.

There is a lot going on in that area, maybe leaves.......

 

I think that fits, Becky. I wanted so_bad to see letters clashed in this coin, but I just couldn't. I'll settle for cotton bolls.
