What are these worth?

If I remember correctly, I purchased these directly from the mint. I haven't been able to find a listing for either in The Red Book. Is there anywhere else to look up these sets?

It's very hard to tell the condition of the coins from your photos, but here's a nifty website that can be helpful in estimating values of coins: http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml
Another good way to see their value is to go to Ebay and search sold listings to see what those sets have earned in the past.

You did not get those from the US mint, those are aftermarket sets put together by a private company.

How would you know from those pictures if it's from the US mint or not? Is it because of the packaging? Is there a reference guide that shows what packaging each mint (D, S, P) originally shipped in?

Thanks! That's been too many years for me to remember. Now, if I could find a way to figure out where I actually picked those up. lol

According to that link the OP has a Private Market version.

If I read it correctly The Mint version had actual metal tokens, where as the Private Market had plastic tokens.

Yes and the souvenir sets medals were about silver dollar size, made of bronze and were the respective medal for that mint with the treasury seal on the reverse.

The mint sets pre 1982 has a gray plastic disk that identified the mint containd in each sleave. After 1983 the mint stoke was strick on a copper plated zinc cent planchet with a big P or D to identify the mint.

Also on the pre 1982 sets the envelope said US Mint Uncirculated Coins they did not say Mint Set. The 1984 and later envelopes are fancy designed not plain white.
