What caused the "tire marks" on this 2017 Indiana George Rogers Clark quarter? Any assistance in identification of the source of these marks would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

It looks like it may be from the rim of another coin. Try "putting the puzzle pieces together" and see if a quarter or dime fits in place. PMD

Looks like a rim of a coin hit it, PMD though

I've done marks like that too from a can opener. Both the longer straight cut and the long triangular-ish cuts. I have a thread or part of a thread somewhere showing it.

What does the backside look like?

The reverse of the coin appears to be perfect. Thank you very much for your reply!
