My LCS has a full UNC Set of $5 Indians, Proof Seated Liberty Dollars and recently sold a 1798 Dollar AU-55

What are the big boy coins at your LCS?

Smart B&M owners keep their most valuable inventory in the vault, and only bring it out for buyers whom they know or have pre-qualified.

True. When I got to peek at some of the higher end stuff, he would only do it if there were no unknown customers in the shop.

I have 5 LCS's and I won't shop in any of them. I do have an online dealer and the highlight from them is customer service. They stand behind any and every coin they sell.

My guy is like this. Go in his place and there are stacks of mint sets. A case with $50.00-$500.00 or so coins. Another case with some gemstones. and another with quite a lot of early American paper notes. Pretty cool stuff...... But the magic happens when he locks the door and invites me behind the wall to peer in his safe. And it is one massive safe too...... He also has a secondary business where he markets "investor" coins and they reside behind the wall in the safe. He likes to tease me with some of those every now and again.

There is a dealer around my area who likes to set up at gun shows. He had a 1964 D Peace Dollar lol. I asked where he kept the real one and he said right next to his 1933 Double Eagle:D

Its nice when people have a good sense of humor lol.

I don't have enough of a relationship with any of them to get to see their best stuff. That's why I buy mostly at shows, and when I have to at the major auctions.
