Hey Ya'll I was looking over an ebay sellers item and wondered if anyone on here has ever gotten any coins from them----their user name is "greattoning"---sometimes their toned coins look alittle too good to be true---but before I pass judgement I'll wait to hear what ya'll think. Here is their website.. http://www.greattoning.com/index.htm Speedy
Pretty much what Roy said. He's got some gorgeous stuff, always did. I've looked and looked and then looked some more at his offerings - never could make up my mind on some of the raw stuff, if it was AT or not. But hey, he offers a lot of slabbed stuff too,and that's supposed to be the real deal. So, when all else fails, fall back on rule #1. If in doubt - pass. If you like it, buy it.
GDJMSP has hit it, if in doubt, pass. We all have purchases that we regret (at least I do) and better to pass and look back and wish that you did, than buy a coin and feel that you got screwed. That leaves a very sour feeling.
Well I guess now I still have to decide----Now on this coin (Not the one I was looking at...) it almost looks fake...AT.... http://www.greattoning.com/rosi_1949d_front.htm The coin I was looking at was slabbed and I think it is ok---the toning doesn't look AT but I've been fooled before. Thanks alot guys! Speedy
I see a lot of NGC and PCGS graded coins- must be the real deal. If he sold coins from the not so good grading companys than I would question the coins.
Well I would think so too but wasn't there a dealer that came out and not too long ago and said that he was an AT Doc. and he would tone them through the slab?....maybe that was just with the old PCGS rattler slabs. Speedy
