What a bracelet! Is one to applaud or bewail it?

I was earlier this morning reviewing new journals in our library and found a marvelous photo in the Jan. - Feb. 2022 issue of Minerva. It is a 19th c. set of bracelets featuring the 12 Caesars in gold! The photograph was featured in an article concerning an exhibition “God on Earth: Emperor Domitian” at the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. Quite a pair!

Hard not to applaud it in some sense...but...those coins! Used - as - jewelry??! :bigtears:

Great looking bracelets, a little on the feminine side but if I had the chance I'd wear one! 112.gif

That would be a nice bracelet to wear while serving some fruit in this bowl:
