Hello everyone, I recently took a trip to Michigan and before I left I bought a box of pennies. Have to say I found some interesting pennies, this particular penny I found is a real mess and you will see at the top of the penny the word AMERICA is spelled backwards. I'm pretty sure it's a mint error, but would like your opinion please.

    Thank you

It's the letters from another Cent incused into glue.
    Not a Mint Error :yack:

Dip it in acetone and watch the glue come off. You won't be pretty sure then ;)

Agree with Paddy, it's the remnant of two cents being glued together.

You'd be surprised to see how often this comes up. With some glues, it really does look like the copper is raised. Don't let that discourage you, many here find really cool errors, not me:(, but many do.
