Take a look at the photo, then take a guess. DD1A3851-5A51-499C-A3EC-0A7B1240AE0F.jpeg

Ooh, ooh, I know! They don't do a very good job of holding things they aren't supposed to hold?

It's quite obvious you've been shipped two monocles in the mail. You should be careful, monocle thieves abound. :pompous:

Who wants a pair of monocles, though?

I'd be blaming the seller not ebay, ebay don't provide packing materials :D

Best to put them between 2 sheets of cardboard. It’ll cost a little more but better safe than sorry.

You can still ship low value coins in a regular envelope. Ebay provides the low cost envelope shipping as a benefit to the seller. Which might I add, is very nice, if you're selling low cost coins. It doesn't make sense to ship a coin worth no more than a dollar in a first class bubble mailer. It won't sell because of the cost of shipping. The seller needs to know how to package it to make it through the high speed shipping. If they don't and the coin is damaged, then they need to make it right. Sell what you sell and package it well! :)

The problem is the seller doesn't seem to have the coin in a 2x2. I've shipped in envelopes like this for 10 years with few problems. I frequently get compliments on my packaging.

It was in a saflip. Multiple indentations pressed in it as the coin was squished through the machine. A $20 Cherry pick no less.
