it's all luck. your best bet is in 50 cent piece rolls. I used to search dime rolls. found some silver. obviously the more rolls you search the better the odds of finding more. some searchers say customer rapped rolls are best to search threw. good luck to you.
Agreed. It's all luck, you can gauge averages in this forum. Most people seem to find 12-15 wheats per box, 1 buffalo or war nickel per box, etc. But it varies. Obviously you'll have good and bad stretches. I've found 50 silver US dimes in my last 100 (give or take) dime rolls... and they all came out of one roll (CWR). I don't see much difference in CWR vs BWR except in CWR you have a better chance of stumbling onto someones collection, and get a whole roll of valuable coins. Only way to find out if it's worth it to you or not is to give it a whirl... Good luck!
It's all luck. I got a roll and a half of pure 40% halves from a credit union I wasn't a member of. I got lost going to a coin show and decided to hit a random place next right next door to a mechanic shop!
From a few weeks ago I found 77 Liberty nickels from 1891-1912-D in 36 rolls of nickels. It is all luck. I have gone stretches of many months without seeing one. Lately I have been taking a break from CRH, too much other stuff going on.
ya there is a lot of stuff going on. That is a nice find. pew I cant imagine finding 77 v nicks. my best hoard was not from coin roll hunting but I found 31 silver certificates. me and my dad split them so I got 15 and he got 16.
