Were the small ANACS slabs glued together?

I was always under the impression that ALL "real" TPG slabs were sealed sonically. But I have recently seen several slabs that appear to be ANACS Gen5 that have obvious glue along one or more edges. Are these tampered slabs or is that how ANACS used to do it?? anacs_Fotor.jpg

To the best of my knowledge, they were and still are all sonically sealed.

And I suspect that's what you're seeing - not glue. But I suppose there's a slim possibility it is.

I mean, define exactly what sonically sealed is. I've had an ultrasound before which essentially just caused such serious sonic vibration that it helped heat up my knee, increase circulation, etc.

Sonically sealed just means its heated up using soundwaves rather than an open flame or whatever other method you could use. You don't get the nasties that are included in glue.

My PCGS slabs have a little seam which assumptively is from this process.

Looks pretty much like it should. The sonic sealing process essentially melts the plastic and can cause artifacts like that. Maybe there's some old sticker adhesive on it, as well.

They are sonicly sealed which as mentioned melts the plastic. If too much pressure is applied to the shell during the sealing this plastic can extrude out forming a flashing on the edge. That is what appears to be happening on the pictured slab. If you look for it you can sometimes see it on NGC and PCGS slabs as well. Especially NGC.
