Well I went to my local bank today for a box of halves but they were out so I decided to get a bix of cents. I went through thr box of $25 dollars quickly sorting the copper from the new and found 18 wheaties the oldest being a 1916 (all common dates) a 1983 with a small cud, a 1966 with a very weak 19 and a nice 1982 with a large cud. I think I will try another box on Monday. Here are some of pictures of the coins.

It would be cool if you found at least one of the scarcer key date Indian Head Cents in your box of coins.Who knows, once you're done, you may put the ordinary spendable 1c. coins through a Coinstar,& find some cool coins in the reject slot.

Not sure if possible in your area but you may want to try this. I go to banks and ask for bags of cents. The reason is sometimes they have $50 bags of cents laying around in a corner for a long time. Also, these have not yet gone through a machine that rolls them. They may have them but since in a vault and possibly in a far corner not to easily accessable, they may tell you they don't have any. Also, very heavy so some tellers will not want to even try. I've gone to some banks so often they think they know me so they will go through the trouble of going to get them for me. I usually kid around and tell them they are for a Wedding present as a joke. This helps get them to go for them. At one bank the tellers have had to have a guard get them due to the weight.
