Ok went to bank sunday (Before my truck broke down) and got my usual box of lincolns.(an everyday thing just about). The teller said i know you look for old silver dollars i dont have any morgan or peace but i do have 4 Ikes. So i said thank you and got them. The Question I'm about to ask is does anyone agree with my thinking that The Eisenhower Dollar might be a nice investment? Because where i am at i visit quite a few banks with no morgans at all. Its like they all up to SBA have dissapeared.... i Got 2 74d's, a 77, and 78 But Lincolns are my passion Silver is secondary to me! Jim
" I went to the bank on Sunday" that just sounds so odd to me, none of our banks are open on sunday, except I think maybe the one at the grocery store. Ikes and kennedys are definitely worth picking up if you can get a deal.
I think there is some investment oppurtunity in Ikes, more so than other coins. They are sitting in a sweet spot age wise and are the last of the cart wheels. But I'm talking over the next 50 years and choice examples of varieties. See this http://www2.mrbrklyn.com/ikes.html
TY. Thats what i was talking about something that would be nice to give to the boys when they get bigger. Not investment like quick return. I just dont want to pass down junk to them... Jim
In Jersey Here in Jersey we have a major bank chain called Commerce Bank Open 7 Days A Week ... And most Holidays They Like me there!!!!!! Jim
thanks. I like that these varieties can be found fairly decently and at resonable costs. I found 3 Talon heads and 2 FEV in the last round of 8 that I purchased. Ruben
