    15 a piece for circulated halves? I wouldn't even pay $10.

I wonder how much their commission is. I would love to get $10 each for my halves after commission.

Ouch. I would make a little road trip if I knew I could get $30X$1.00 FV 90%.

Unless those coins in the '68 proof set are utterly spectacular, I think you may have over paid a tad.......

Last local auction I went to was the same way. A 2006 3 coin anniversary set sold for $560! A 1926-S Oregon half went for $225, and common circulated Morgans were selling in the low 30s!

I was thinking I should have brought some coins in to sell there as well.

Next one is in jan, see if there's any goodies in that one.

Went to a local auction here, had a backer who wanted to buy silver at 16x face (about melt value.) There was also a 100 oz Engelhard poured bar he was interested in.

Looked through the silver (they had a lot of it) and ended up snagging about 4 Type B Reverse quarters for $5 each...but other than that was shut out of the silver as they bought and bought at 20x FV and higher. Got lucky I suppose and caught the right bid on the Engelhard, won that at $2,000 for the silver buy of the day. Had the original receipt - the buyer got it when it was $6/oz...

Won a few jewelry lots too...for $6 I got 4 sterling rings (a couple turquoise ones), a couple CZ, and a handful of costume jewelry for my niece. Think I made out well...
