Went back out after the post below. A surprise find...

...after I posted the finds below my wife and kids took off so so did I. I went to an old park where I have never found any real old coins before. Indian heads and silver.
This was down 8-9 inches near a big old tree. Very surprised when I pulled it outta the plug. Fun stuff.

Now if you will just dig another 3 or 4 inches deeper, you can get back into the 1700's.
