Bought 3 rolls of wheat backs and this is the result. Of these, I needed 14 of them but i have 3, book 1 and 2's not to mention that one roll was 1 penny short. :) They also looked searched to me. See attachment. 3 more rolls on the way (from a different guy), think i may have wasted another 20.

What is the difference between astrik and double asktrik on your sheet column "needed it"
No such thing as an unsearched roll

Or very rare; highly unlikely, etc.
If you get access to estate sales, old dudes that hoard (not collect) coins, etc you may find such mythical beasts.

So you have $3.00 of cents and you paid $20?
If you found specific coins out of the rolls that you needed what were the potential costs of purchasing those coins separately? That would then be your basis minus what you spent.

If you like searching rolls, and know (for reality) that it is 1 in 1,000,000 rolls that may be unsearched (and they're not going to be on eBay) then you did what you enjoyed and wanted to do.

I have 3 each of book 1 and 2 for pennies. 2 ** mean i needed it for more that one book.

Thank you, sometimes common cents escapes me. See what I did there? :)

Any “unsearched” rolls you buy off of the internet are going to be a complete scam and waste of your money.

If you want the thril of the search you are going to have to check out estate sales to see if you can buy buckets of coins or old collections. Lots of competition though.

You will never find anything of value in an eBay “unsearched” roll. It’s a marketing gimmick to separate you from your money.
