Okay, a new be here ....be gentle. So just got into searching Washington quarters coins a few months ago & have collected many common errors but found this odd stamp that is tiny & will likely remain a mystery, but just wanted to post it here to see if anyone had ever run into something like this. Did send photo to numismatic who said it could be a fake chop. I thik it is too small to be a chop but have a look & see what you think. THX!
I don't think its a clash. Just contact damage IMO (there are lots of other contact marks on the coin as well). Here is the overlay from Maddie clashes to compare
