Weird Nickel? Is it worth keeping or should I put it back into circulation?

I found this nickel during a roll hunt. It every unusual because all the lettering on both sides are connected to the rim with globes of nickel.

To me, it looks like a death of a die. The letters are all fat that are stuck to the rim.

Is this an error coin? Do they hold value? Or, should I put it back into circulation?

    Thanks for your help...Merry Christmas! IMG_1244.JPG IMG_1245.JPG WIN_20211224_09_46_48_Pro.jpg WIN_20211224_09_47_19_Pro.jpg WIN_20211224_09_46_16_Pro.jpg WIN_20211224_09_46_08_Pro.jpg WIN_20211224_09_46_01_Pro.jpg

Looks like a spender to me,worn die strike with plenty of circulation wear and tear.

Pronounced radial flow lines show a very deteriorated die. One of the results of this is that the peripheral lettering spreads toward the rim.

That worn die is something else, not my thing but I'll wager some collector would be interested.

Worn die for sure. If it was an older nickel, I'd keep it, but as it is, I'd spend it.

Yes to die deterioration. You can find this on nearly every denomination with the spread towards the rim. This also happens to the torch on the Roosevelt dime.
