    Weird Barber dime

Found this dime while going thru a roll.

I touch convex / concave. Slightly larger diameter than normal.

    What might have caused this?

    Thanks!

It's a damaged coin and it was designed by Charles Barber, thus it's a barber dime instead of a morgan.

What a tease. I opened this thread with so much excitement I could hardly stand still. Imagine my surprise when I saw a damaged Barber Dime when I was expecting to see this:

PS: I don't own this ridiculously nice pattern.

Either that or someone had too much time on their hands and they wanted to make a purty rim!
