I've got a strange $1 bill. It's a series 2017, and it has several errors (maybe?) on it. The entire design is shifted to the right, and the treasury seal is off to the left. Also, the last number of the top right serial number is skewed up. Why?

Looks %100 normal to me besides a small offset cut to the right that's it,and the 0 is shifted upward a little which is very common.

Very minor and well within BEP tolerances.

The treasury seal is well within the BEP's specification. If you look through a bunch of $1 bills you will notice that the seal (as well as the serial numbers) will jump around a little due to the printing process. Nothing unusual about it. The high number in the serial number is a printing wheel that is slightly misaligned (and will probably correct itself during additional printing). Very common. Sometimes there are two or more numbers misaligned. Fun to look for but not worth any premium.

That last digit is a little high but well within normal bounds. Otherwise it’s a normal bill. It’s only a dollar do keep it.

Looks normal to me too, but nice eye to catch the slight difference from other notes you are looking at. Good luck. Next time, could please post photos FULL IMAGE?
