These notes were also termed as Experimental Notes for Federal reserve one dollar bills.

a web-fed note was [printed on sheets instead of a continuous roll. the sheets were fed into the machine, i think be hand (i cant remember for sure now)

on the face of the note where you would find the plate number - the lower left corner, you will find a single digit number, instead of the district letter with a plate number, and also there was no FW notes so no FW. Also on the back of a web-fed note, at the top right, there will also be a digit - this digit is absent on normal notes.

In the end, Web-fed machines broke downtoo often, and were to labor intensive (i believe) twhat they abandoned the method for the traditional one

    hope this helps.

Got it backwards. The Web press used the continous paper roll, the normal press is sheet fed. The printing plate is a continous roll and so there is no "sheet position" so you don't have the A - H position letters on the front or the quadrant number that is normally by the upper left position letter. All you have is the plate number at the lower right.
