I found this penny going through a so called unsearched roll. The strike is really strong but the O in ONE is missing and E PL is weak. The wheats are really detailed. Is this worth anything and what caused it?
Just a weak strike. The O in one is directly under the shoulder area when the dies meet, the spot on the coin with the most metal to displace, and very typical.
Thanks for the reply. I thought a weak strike would affect all areas, not one area. You explanation make sense.
