Weak mint mark on 1968 s penny

    Looks like the bottom of the mint mark was not struck well IMG_4300.JPG IMG_4303.JPG

    The weakness of the "S" could be from the dies being cleaned. My fist guess would be that the die had some dirt and/or grease stuck in it.

    Key is that intentional Die abrasion usually fades to one side not even fading like the example in the image. Plus I see no mint die polish marks.

    So does this error add to the value? I have a roll of 1968-s pennies and about 30% of them have this error.
