Weak date on 2003S proof cent??

I just got my 2003 regular proof sets today, and on both of the cents the '3' in the date is extremely weak. It's almost to the point of not being visible unless you turn the coin a certain way to catch the light.

    Anyone else noticed this??

Probably a minor filled die error.Unless the coin has lettering completely missing there is no added value,as minor die fills are rather common, especially in the Lincoln Cent series. ~ Jim

Filled die isn't worth too much then? Even with a proof?

I like my coins well struck. Filled die reduces the value of them.

The general rule of thumb on filled dies is that the affected letter(s) must be completely gone to be worth any real premium.Partially filled letters are more or less common. ~ Jim
