I can't see it, but I really struggle with these newer ones. If you got a nod from @Rick Stachowski then it must be a winner
Awesome find! That's what makes it all worthwhile. Those kind of finds are few and far between. Congratulations!
Right now it's a nice find, but not one that's been added as a variety yet . I have about 10 of them ...
It's listed as Wexler WDDO-003 Here is the page... http://doubleddie.com/1169840.html It's the 3rd one down hence #3. It's a perfect match. I don't know about value but I'm sure you can research it. Again congratulations. I'd be stoked.
Yes here is that page. http://www.varietyvista.com/01e LC Doubled Dies Vol 5/2014PDDO003 cent.htm The distortion on TRUST is incredible
I am convinced you have it. No doubt in my mind. If you want to be 100% sure without sending it to a tpg you can send it to Mike Ellis at Coneca for $4.00 he will attribute it. It might take a few weeks though. I would post it at the "Lincoln Cent Forum" under "variety attributions". http://www.lincolncentforum.com/forum/forum.php you will have to join the forum. There are some heavyweight Lincoln Cent attributers that will be more than happy to verify your find.
Ok, here's the image I'll use ( U of Trust ) . I see a double rim on coneca, I'm not sure if OP has a double rim .
Good catch @Rick Stachowski . I'll have to get home tonight and get some additional pictures to verify if mine has the double rim. I don't recall if it did, but from what I posted originally it sure doesn't look like it.
I have access to coneca, but they don't bring much in money, right now . In time as single squeeze hubbing takes over, hopefully these early year shield cent will have a demand . The program is only 6 years old ......
I'm going to start mailing you Lincoln Cents since I'm certain I've passed over many potential DDOs that I just couldn't see.
