Are there any ways to lessen the fees from ebay, without violating their rules? I sold 1000 dollars worth of stuff, and lost 200 of it, from paypal and ebay They shrink my pictures, and overall suck.
not really, they are the only show in town, so they can charge you whatever they want. I sell mostly small $ items and I can usually build my S&H fee structure in a way to cover my listing fees but I haven't figured a way around the final value fees yet.
The one thing I can think of right off the bat is, never allow the buyer to use a credit card to pay with. A bank draft through Paypal should be a lot cheaper.
well you can eliminate a few of the fees by not using ebay's little extras, like fancy borders etc. I learned the first time to strip every auction down to just the basics, although I wouldn't skimp on the picture. I think though you might be able to just pass on the fee to the customer by tacking on a few dollars to the start price and maybe advertise free shipping. <shrug> just some ideas
