I just watched an ebay auction for a MS-65 1881-O Morgan dollar go for $175. Do you think that this was a good buy for the guy who got it. I am inclined to think so. What would you have payed for it? About $30 - $35. NTC is not one of the grading companies to trust. They typically overgrade everything by 2 or 3 grades - sometimes even worse than that.
NTC grading is almost always too high by 2 - 3 grades. No way that coin is a 65. maybe 62 or a stretch at 63. NTC slabs look better than others but the grading is still the pits. Oh well , I guess the the seller will be happy.
