Washington/Carver Commem 1952

    Just picked this up today for $10 and change.There were apparently 4 years of this design with all three mints making them.1952P is (of course) by far the most common date. This increases my vast U.S. commemorative half dollar collection to 7..LOL

    10 dollars is a good price for that coin. I have a number of them at home along with the Booker T. Washington coin. I like the coins but I haven't seen them for awhile.

    I wonder what made the square "tan lines" on yours.looks like something was lying on top of it for a long time.Maybe something to do with the original holder?

    I think you are right...the holder that it was in when I got it was a flip so it must have been the holder before that.
    The other side is white!
