Hey guys, still new to the older coins, especially a capped bust coin. Looked prices over for about an hour, but this coin was more of an impulse buy. I am still happy with it no matter if it what a horrible deal or not. Just looking for opinions so I can determine prices better in the future. Thanks! Also, no coin shows around me as of recent, so I have had to hit Ebay for a few coins. http://www.ebay.com/itm/29068701506...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_1164
Sounds a bit high to me, but hey its not like 25 bucks is gonna kill any of us. So if you are happy I am happy for you bro grats on your coin, I don't have any capped busts myself sadly I do keep staring at my 1934 classic head begging it to turn into a 1934 capped bust, but it never freaking happens and early retirement eludes me
I think its a fine buy. Its not a coin many people have, not a bad price. If for a type collection and fits in your budget, then I say good for you man. $25 is a decent dinner nowadays. I would skip dinner for that coin, and I own a few of them already.
It does have a few attributes that could make it a G6 coin. Based on that, the price is reasonable, so you didn't hurt yourself any.
$28 for an ok 179 year old coin that you like and are happy with. You may have answered your own question. Problem coin or not, many people have done much worse.
You made a purchase, and then came to ask others if it was a good one. By definition, the answer is no.
http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=131128&lotNo=28590 This one is a touch more worn, but with nicer surfaces and sold in a reputable auction for a touch more than yours did. I would say you paid a fair price.
