I got this Morgan $ for a total of $19 and then found out it was apiece of jewelry in its past.Here are some scans: It looks like ot was a string iet ornament as it has 5 brigjt silver spots on its edge. What do you think of it's quality and grade? Bruce
I would say this coin has no numismatic value at all. It has been tooled - the hair and other obverse features have been enhanced. It has solder around the edge. I don't think you are out more than $7 or $8 because you can always sell it for its silver content. If you hang on to it and silver goes up enough its melt value may equal what you paid for it.
