War Nickel, lamination error ?

    War nickels, due to their experimental composition, and their hurry-up planchet prep during the war years, show more laminations per capita than any other regular U.S. coinage.

    I find lots of them with the war nickels that I pull from circulation. It was a "weird" mix of metals that didn't work out to well in the long run.

    yes, lamination.

    Yes, extremely common on war nicks.
