It's probably a little quirky, but I am interested in Harco Coinmaster albums if anyone has any. I know the company that makes them is no longer in business so I have been looking for them on ebay and elsewhere online with limited luck. edited Here's the ones I'm looking for: -Indian Head Cents -Buffalo Nickels -Liberty Nickels -Barber Quarters -Deluxe US Type Set (108 openings) -US Type Set (40 openings) -Miscellaneous Dollars Does anyone know if they're safe to store coins in? I would assume so, my grandfather passed down a partial roosevelt silver dime collection to me in a Harco album that I am working to complete. I've had it for a while, and I assume he did as well and the coins seem fine to me. Thanks.
I use these albums also, as I like the design for the labeling (adding your own entries, or removing other entries). Unfortunately, the pages that came with the older ones apparently had some PVC elasticizer and those pages should be changed to the new ones to be safe. Here is a source for the pages. http://www.brent-krueger.com/harcopages.html Jim
The albums themselves may not be safe, but the sleeves that contain the coins and slide into the pages are made out of a better plastic and are safer. I pulled a Roosevelt set out of one of these and put it in a Dansco. Only a couple coins needed a soak.
