    Hi all,

This note replaces the previous email where i called on all data from roll hunting and provides additional details.

I plan on writing a statistics paper on probability/regression about nickels hunting.

I am looking for data from anyone on at least 15 boxes and need everything found before 1960 kept track of by year and mintmark by box.

I will start analyses now (with the help of those who have already replied I have data on about 150 boxes) but if you can do 15 boxes by the beginning of September, I'll include your results too!

If you want a formatted Excel spreadsheet, just let me know and I'll send that to you.

    thanks a bunch

If you were just looking for numbers on Buffs, Wars and V-Nicks I have a ton of data points (247.3 boxes worth since 2010)... but keeping track of all the pre-60's? I've got something like $400 face...

Do a search on 'CopperNickelDaddy' on coin community forum. He's done a ton of Nickel boxes. I don't know was thinking maybe some of his information might help you? If I recall right he was pretty detailed in all his findings.

LOL, never mind I found that you already know about him on that forum.

I don't do Nickel boxes regularly anymore otherwise I'd be willing to help. I"m sure you'll find many people willing to help out. Good luck!

Yea, I've been doing mostly nicks lately. I'll give it a shot. Not sure I can do 15, I've been doing one about every other week. Maybe I can step it up a little.
Got a good source for cheep paper rollers? Bank only gives me 10 at a time. lol
Do you want all the odd stuff too? Not nickles, not US, pre Jeffersons? Or strictly Jefferson, 1938-1959?
Do we will a prize?? lol

i get about 20 rolls per bank I visit. I have to ask multiple branks/branches per box to keep up. I have accts at 3 banks/credit unions to support my habit. lol

    1. no prize. in the very least, you'll be listed in the acknowledgements section.

    2. the focus is Jefferson 38-59, but i should have paragraphs on other topics too (non-US stuff, etc).

    3. thanks for considering joining in!

I can send you my spreadsheet. Data for 37 boxes. At first I didn't keep track of pre-1960 coins, then I started just inputting the total numbers, then I stopped saving 1954 and and later, then I started logging each pre-1954 coin I found. So the spreadsheet is kinda goofy, but let me know if you want it.
