I recently wrote an article for Error Scope Magazine, However if youre not a CONECA member you cannot recieve or view Error Scope on line. So to show you just how much you could be missing I am going to give you the information right now how to long on to ebay and find an example. In fact there's an nice specimen on the bay now that holed priced at $6.50! The 1834 inverted 3 over 3 is an half dime variety that so easy to spot....yet so many are listed on web sites without the seller knowing that there's more meat on the bone. Please refer to my images and the following pups to finish reading this post logging on to ebay or other web site and spotting one of these cool variety coins. First yes the date 1834 ...look carefully by chance does the 8 in the date have a dot of medal that inside the bottom SE side of the loop? This is a major pup. ...and size of medal can vary. Next the 3 ....yes sometimes clogged with dirt But can you see the V like lines that connect the top loops of the 3? See image. In front of Liberty`s face is a clash a heavy clash. This is obv. 1... obv. #1 with the inverted date punch wavs used on two reverses. The V & W giving you the LM 1 and LM 3 an R -2 & R-3 rarities. Now another pup on the variety is on the the 1834 inverted 3. LM 3. The S in States top loop is filled again with medal. So it's possible to find an inverted 3/3 1834 half dime with a different reverse....& R factor. this specimen is of course the LM 3 So if you like information about coins like this ...you would like Coneca.
