I want to complete a 1932-1964 Wa Qtr set and I have about half of them. I also have a couple of rolls of AU 1964 Quarters. What would be a good way to use the extra 1964 quarters to help finance the rest of the set? I know many of my missing ones will have much higher values than the 1964's, but I don't know if I should try to trade them and pay the difference or just sell and then purchase the missing ones. Another option would be to just keep all the 1964s. Any recomendations? Jay
Well, you could sell them on eBay, seems people overpay for silver quarters on a daily basis, especially the "lots" of quarters. If you're good with just having a set from 32-64 without having any sentimental value with the extra 64 quarters, go for it. If you got the money though to seek out and buy the missing ones, that's the less hassle approach though.
I would suggest selling and them just purchasing what you need. You should be able to sell quickly at melt. First, be sure to check for Type B and C varieties in these 1964 quarters. TC
I wasn't aware of the Type B and C varieties. I just read up on them and will certainly look them over before selling them. I'll post some pictures if I think any of them are B or C. Thanks for pointing that out! Jay
