i got a 1942-d walking liberty in the mail about a week ago that i purchased on ebay. it is graded ms66 by pcgs.

the cartwheel effect is subtle and moves in a strange way (almost like the luster is contracting and expanding in diameter). i mainly collect world coins so i'm not sure if it is typical for this coin or date. every other coin i have that is graded ms66 has a nice, strong cartwheel effect. it is blast white btw.

The pictures look like scans and scans often do not pick up luster at all. Wait until you have the coin hand. I imagine it will look quite differently.
