What would you pay for these four WL Halves?

    1917, 1918, 1920S, 1934

If i wanted 90% silver, I would pay melt. However since I am not looking for 90% silver, I would pay about 12 or 13 x Face.

In Good or better condition you should be able to net $35 on several sites.

Well, a search of completed eBay auctions show the '17 & '18 going for about $8.50 in similar grade, the '34 for about $12.00 and the '20 (S or D) around $13.00. Walkers seem to sell reasonably well.

Thank you. These aren't mine but rather what someone wants to sell. He wants $68 for them. I figured it was too high. Thank you.

Why not getting one Walker in MS for $68 instead of 4 low grade coins?

If somebody offered those to me for 68.00, I would avoid him on future offerings as well. 68 is a joke

Yeah I would agree…$68 seems extremely high for these. The condition is pretty poor…I'd be a buyer anywhere between $35-$40ish.

Thank you. I offered him $40 for all the coins but he countered with $54. I politely declined. Normally, I would agree with what bkozak33 said but I have had very good dealings with him in the past with Mercury dimes for very reasonable prices. Not sure why these are jacked up so high. Again, thank you for all the advice.

$40 seems like a fair offer, and price for those in that condition. They're all common date and mint, with the 1917 at the highest mintage of 12,292,000, the others are high mint from 6,372,00 for the 1920 and as high as 6,964,000 for the 1934.

Jloring's eBay search has reasonable prices for the same series and condition.

These four are considered junk silver due to their excessive wear and common date status.

Melt value for an XF-AU common date walker is $7.26. Coin dealers with Extra Fine to About Uncirculated walkers usually price them according to the price guides for collectors who are putting together a set.

The coins you have I would weigh since they are so worn down and their melt value is much closer to $7.00. A fair offer for the four coins would be $25.00 to $28.00 depending what you want to do with them.

I have multiple buyers who would purchase generally 1940's common date rolls of Good/better Walking Liberty halves at $8.50/coin. I sell the coins at $180/roll in large quantities. I believe you'll find Apmex and eBay sales are generally >$200/roll (circulated), and considerably greater for graded common date (generally 1940's) rolls.

Edited: any offers or discussion of B/S/T has to be in the advertising forums.
