I have about 10 walking liberties I'm trying to find the value of. On wikipedia.com I read that there was an error in 1946 making coins made in this year more valueable. I have one from 1946 but don't what a 'doubled die' would look like. Also if I do have one of these coins what is its value?

On the E PLUEINUS UNUM it looks doubled...if you have any that you think may be the DD post photos and maybe we can help.

Here is a link to a 1946 doubled die on ebay 1946 doubled die reverse Depending on what condition these are in they range in price from $10 in F-12 to $325 in MS-63. LOL

Charlie- your link isn't working, but I think you meant to link to this auction.

Speedy- I think you are thinking of the 1961 Franklin DDR where it is easily seen on the "E Puribus Unum". The 46 DDR is most easily seen on the 7th and 8th (from the top) feathers on the eagle's left wing. Actually the close-up photos in the auction do a good job of showing the doubling.
