There is a coin on ebay that the seller claims has Split Breasts.
    Item # 120062588424
Maybe someone who knows Walking Libertys can tell me how this coin has split breasts?
    Thanks.

their is a varity where the breast and neck as well as a varity where the breast and left arm have signs of doubleing. But i cant say i know about split breats. either way those types dont go for 5oo bucks. The seller might be calling the wrong thing and its not worth that kind of money if it is indeed one of the types i mentioned.

Thanks. The way I had figured it, split breasts means there are two well defined breasts on the lady's chest. Sort of a way of grading? If you don't see two individual breasts the coin has worn beyond a certain point. I do not know, just a guess. Anyway the coin is not worth that money for sure. Thanks.

I think that was his way of describing the grade, original thinking.

So that's why I posted here. That particular coin was flat chested. No split breasts at all. I asked what that term means because maybe I'm missing something.

I'm betting its like the term I once heard on Ebay---Full Eagle--on Morgan and Peace dollars---I wrote them and asked that they quit scamming collectors and they wrote back and told me that it was a widely used term and serious collectors know about it---and all it means is that you can see the eagle good....well heck I've got a Morgan dollar that would grade POOR-1 or less that has a FULL BIRD!!!!!!

Looking at the coin in question, the only thing that I can imagine is that he is referring to the left (facing the coin) breast and the fact that there is separation away from the body.
    Meaning that there is detail.
However, the actual meaning is anyone's guess, since it is not a normal description.
