Which mint struck this VRBS ROMA?

  1. Heraclea

  2. Nicomedia

  3. You're way off base, RC; it's another mint entirely!

Bulk lot specimen with a thick, detail-obscuring patina. There are three vertical dots between the two stars above the wolf on the reverse. The mint mark reads: SMH? or SMN(S?), so it's either RIC Heraclea 129 (with either an officina unrecorded in RIC or with a weirdly-rendered Є):

or RIC Nicomedia 195 (officina S?):

I think it's from Nicomedia, but wanted your opinions. As always, feel free to post anything you feel is relevant.

I suspect Nicomedia too but it's impossible without more detail to differentiate by style alone.

It looks to me too that it is Nicomedia...
