I bought this coin off Ebay because in my price book it said the coin was "extremely rare". I am 95% sure it says 1700 but it might say 1760 eventhough it doesn't look that way from the naked eye. Anyone have any information about the value of this Voce Populi 1700 coin? on the back it says Hibernia. Thank You!
Here is a link about the coin you have. It appears it is dated 1760...just a bad strike. www.irishcoinage.com/MILLED.HTM#vocep
I have some coins that I need to see if they are valuable. I have a silver dollar dated 1897. A silver dollar dated 1979. A dime dated 1936. If you can help, please help me. It is very important that I find the value. edited Thank you for your help.
Howdy tweetiehicks - Welcome to the Forum !! I'm afraid it's impossible to estimate value for any coin just based on the date and denomination - we need to see the coins. Can you post pics ? Also - your post was edited because offers to buy, sell or trade are not permitted except in the Open or Auction Forums and then only after a member has 10 posts at Coin Talk.
Voce Populi Buttafly, these are Irish trader's tokens issued by an issuer from Dublin by the name of Roach. There are a range of varieties, both with & without the letter 'P'.As a collector of British Commonwealth coins, these really do interest me. Aidan.
