Hello Coin talk friends, I will be visiting the US in July and would like to know if there are any interesting coin shows to visit, specifically in Massachusetts where i shall be staying most of the time. It would be great to visit a show in the US! Thanks and regards, Eduard
Hi Eduard, where in Mass are you going to be? There's a monthly show that I sometimes go to, in a suburb of Boston (it's in Westford). It wouldn't be too difficult to talk me into bringing you to it.
There is one in Auburn, MA the 2nd Sunday of the month. It usually slows down in the summer a bit. Good time to pick up a bargain.
Peter, I go to the Westford show occasionally. If you guys put something together I'de love to join in. Richard
Thank you very MUCH for the Tips guys, and sorry i have not been able to reply before due to the trip over here to the U.S, and limited access to a computer. Thanks to the link you guys gave me (and to a GPS in our rented car!!), we found our way on July 6th to a coin show in Dedham, MA. It was mixed stamps and coins and rather small, with about 20-25 dealers. There was one gentleman who has some early coppers and i purchased a Rosa Americana 1 pence from him in Fine grade. A nice man, he also has written a book about Massachusetts history. All other dealers we spoke to were pleasant as well, but there was one exception: my son asked a dealer (first one as we came in on the right) if he had a particular coin series that he is interested in. The dealer replied "Yes, but i will not show it to you as you have no money anyway...." A rather surprising remark! and i had to step in. Hmmm....an unpleasant character he was. Next weekend we will find our way to another coin show, this time in Auburn, Ma, close to Worcester. I was told this one is larger and we are really looking forward to it. Once again thanks for the tips! Eduard
