First one is machine doubling, I would think the second is a form of die deterioration similar to the die deterioration that causes the raised ridge inside the rim on Zincolns.
Same coin, other side. And consider the other edge ... off center or something looks ( some one correct the terminology ) double struck or something. Maybe VD ( you all call it MD) might be off center second strike?
the dots looks to have been damaged by a coin rolling machine. usually when coins are put in rolls the rolling or crimping machine will do this .
That's the Canada confederation cent, right? I found one in a roll a week or so ago. I had never seen one. Pretty cool coin.
Why do you use the non existent term "vibration doubling" instead of the accepted term "machine doubling"? If you google your non existent term, only your thread comes up. Google the accepted term many separate and unique examples.
